This
window
is
from
Norian,
a
unique
hexagonal
house
built
in
New
Plymouth
in
1947.
The
name
of
the
house
was
based
on
the
phrase
'no
right
angles'
and
all
its
design
elements
were
hexagonal.
The
house,
at
36b
Sanders
Avenue
in
Westown,
was
the
brainchild
of
the
eccentric
beekeeper
and
inventor
Edgar
Roy
Brewster.
It
hosted
more
the
a
quarter
of
a
million
visitors
over
the
next
20
years
and
was
finally
demolished
after
Brewster
sold
the
land
in
1966.
