Tongaporutu Coastline - Twin Creeks during a storm, 4 January 2006
Production date
04 Jan 2006
Description
Twin Creeks river mouth during a storm. In the foreground, white foam churned up from wave action, along with driftwood, collects at the shoreline. In the middleground, a rock stack and the cliff faces on both sides of the image are pounded by waves. The sun is out and clouds only partly cover the sky. According to Pat Greenfield, Twin Creeks is a very active area for erosion. The original road has eroded away completely and another has had to be constructed. Photograph taken 4 January 2006.
