Biography
Donald Jonas, older brother of Dick Jonas, joined the New Zealand Army in October 1939 and was subsequently attached to the 19th Battalion as a Private (# 5043). He saw action in Crete before he died of wounds at Tobruk, Libya on 6 December 1941. He is buried at the Tobruk War Cemetery.
