Description
Carte-de-visite of Captain Arthur Close of the 43rd Regiment. Close is dressed in military uniform and he holds his sword in his left hand. He is resting his right arm on a pedestal on which sits his cap and some books or papers. The pedestal is part of a balustrade which is positioned behind Close. There is a curtain on the right side of the image. Close is looking toward the left.
