Description
An orange, brown and khaki green Swanndri jacket with a zipper down the centre front, two flap pockets and a breast pocket on the wearer's right side. The lining is made of checked blue, brown and green wool. The manufacturing label inside the neckline bears the Swanndri logo of a swan and reads: "REG. TRADE MARK / PURE VIRGIN WOOL / SWANNDRI / A JOHN MACK PRODUCT / OS / WATERPROOFED / MADE IN N.Z." The label is black with gold-coloured text and also bears the wool trade mark. There is a brown plastic button on each sleeve cuff and an elasticised adjustment strip at the centre back that fastens on either side with two buttons.

Belonged to Stan Watson who was one of the first teachers to teach engineering apprentices at the Liardet Street Polytech, New Plymouth. The donor can remember her father wearing the jacket to his evening classes.
