Description
A dark green, maroon and cream-coloured plaid jacket. There are maroon, pale green and beige checks on the inside lining. There is a beige plastic zipper that has replaced the original. The back has an elasticised band with two buttons on each side for adjusting the waist fit. The manufacturer's label is very worn and torn. The text indecipherable but it is possible it reads "Dricoat" along the top which could have been made by John McKendrick of John Mack Ltd. prior to purchasing the Swanndri trademark.

Just a wee correction. I am not aware of a bull attack but this jacket, much loved, was worn to extinction. I (the wife) mended it by hand and by machine for many years - as long as it was feasibly possible until I decided to purchase David a new jacket for the farm. This one I drycleaned and kept as a momento until the museum advertised for Swandry Jackets for display. Thankyou for photographing it and keeping this record.
