Bonnet

Description
A cream-coloured silk baptismal bonnet with two large silk ribbons attached to each side. There is an embroidered circle on the bonnet with triangles radiating from it. It is edged with a strip of gathered silk ribbon which forms the brim. On the inside the bonnet is lined with silk ruching.

The bonnet was made in England about 1910. It was brought to New Zealand in the 1920s. It was worn by members of the Haarer and Faulls families for their christenings.
