Description
A black hat made of a heavy twill fabric with a black brocade trim around the base of the crown. There is a black patent leather peak and strap. On the centre front there is a silver-coloured metal St. John Ambulance Association cap badge and two silver side buttons that feature the Order of St. John international motif, the Amalfi Cross. The interior band is burgundy vinyl with a blue cotton lining. The manufacturer's name is printed on the lining which has been covered with a circle of clear plastic stitched along the edge. The label reads: "Hills Caps Ltd./Uniform Cap Makers/Wellington N.Z./[size] 6 7/8".
