Mr Bennet Pascoe Perry

Production date
Circa 1860s-1880s
Description
Hand tinted ambrotype portrait of Bennet Pascoe Perry. Perry is seated and is resting one arm on a table covered with a patterned cloth. His other hand rests on his leg. He is wearing a suit with a bow tie. His face and hands are tinted pink. The table cloth is also tinted. Damage has occured to the surface of the ambrotype - the photograph appears to have been touched up by hand as a result of the damage. The portrait is framed by a plain gold metal matt and is housed in a plain wooden frame with metal edging around the frame's window. A flower hook has been attached to the upper edge of the frame.
