Portrait of Edna Oliff Pickering, aged 10, dressed in a Fairy Wonder Soap costume, which won first prize. She wears a short dress with Fairy Wonder Soap boxes attached to the skirt, has wings attached to her back, is wearing a crown adorned with a tinsel star and holds a 'wand' with a box of Fairy Wonder Soap attached to the end. Photograph taken at the New Plymouth Agricultural Hall. Edna's father, Adam Pickering, owned the Purity Products Company that produced Fairy Wonder Soap products from 1923-1928.
