Description
A New Zealand Medal. The silver medal features a left facing profile of Queen Victoria on the obverse. " VICTORIA D:G:BRITT:REG:F.D " is marked around the edge of the profile. A wreath is featured on the reverse with " NEW ZEALAND VIRTUTIS HONOR " marked around the edge of it. "2875 PTE P.Guirk 65TH FOOT." is marked on the edge of the medal. The medal is topped by a straight suspension bar ornamented with fern leaf designs and has a blue ribbon with a red central stripe. The medal has broken free from its ribbon.
