Sketch of a colonial style villa on Dawson Street, located somewhere between numbers sixty and sixty-four. The foreground depicts a stone-wall, the stones characterized by a few clusters of small circles. One stone is depicted to the left of the wall, a cluster of five depicted nearer the middle, and then a large cluster of stones to the left of the wall. Directly above the wall in the left foreground there is a bush that runs along the front of the house, stopping at a set of stairs. There is another bush on the right-foreground of the sketch above the wall, and to the right of the house, slightly crossing in front of the house. The colonial-style, weather-boarded villa is located in the middle of the sketch, facing front-on to the viewer. To the left of the house is a verandah with a set of three stairs leading up to it. To the right is a bay window under a pitched roof, with the top of a chimney peeking out behind the roof. Above the verandah runs another section of roofing. In the background loose, expressive brushstrokes and ink wash have been utilised to create a dark sky and clouds. To the right of the house there is a dark mass that could be a tree or large bush.
