Warea Store

Production date
1922
Description
Exterior of the Warea Store, from across the street. The store is a wide, low building with a corrugated iron roof and weatherboard-clad facade. There are three posts holding up the sloping roof to create an open porch in front. Signs painted on the store front read "Warea Store", "Post Office", "H.D. Moss & Son" and "Telegraph Office", and there are advertising signs for "Sykess [sic] Drench, Sykess [sic] Animal, Veterinary Chemical, Food, Creator Scours, Mild Fever, Outfits, Veterinary Syringes", "Goods at Town Prices", "Sykes Lemon Squash / The purest fruit drink on the market sold here" and "Sykes Household Remedies made by Qualified Chemists".

A woman (possibly Eileen Moss) is standing in front of the store on the left, wearing boots, a long dark skirt, and a light long-sleeved shirt. The Warea Store was owned by Cyrill Moss.
