Dress designed and made by Pam Darney to wear to a dance. She made dresses for dances very frequently as didn't tend to wear them more than once. The fabric is a very fine cotton purchased at Michael Groves. It is a very slim-fitting skirt with godets starting from just below the knees to create a full circle at the hem. Pam also wore the dress on the cruise ship Rasa Sayang. While aboard the cruise they had to dress for dinner each night so Pam made sure she was well prepared in advance. This dress was a favourite, worn on many occasions.

While on the Rasa Sayang cruise ship Pam Darney went to the art class. When her fellow passengers discovered she could draw clothing designs they asked her to help. She drew a number of designs which other people then took to the tailors in Singapore. Pam designed and made many of her dresses. She based her clothes on the European designers in Vogue, from the photos she would draw up her own designs to work from. She was never formally trained but learnt from her Grandmother, who was a tailor, on her treadle sewing machine. She also made bridal and bridesmaid dresses for customers referred to her by Michael Groves.
