Horns, Bullock

A pair of bullock horns mounted on a varnished wooden diamond shaped board. The horns are secured in the centre by plaster that has been coated in brown paint. The tips of the horns are brown. In the upper half of the front of the mount is a drilled circular hole for hanging the horn. The reverse of the wooden mount is lined with blue fabric.

These bullock horns are said to have come from the lead bullock of a team driven by William Old between the Bell Block Stockade and Sentry Hill. They were passed down through the Old family before being donated to Puke Ariki in 2005.
