A gold-coloured silk ensemble that is made up of a evening gown and coat. The gown is made of gold silk with a floral pattern painted on in shades of brown, green and yellow. It has short sleeves, a rolled collar with a small tie hanging from it, two darts at the bust and fastens at the back with a zip. It has a separate tie to wrap around the waist. The coat has long sleeves, a rolled collar with lapels, an open front with a frog fastening in the centre that hooks together with a hook and buttonhole-stitched loop.

Owned by the donor's mother. She recalls her mother visiting countries in Asia and buying silks and other regional textiles. These fabrics were made into outfits she would wear while on business trips with her husband. Often times the outfits had Asian-inspired design elements.
