Description
Captain Cook (at rank of Lieutenant), Colonel Okey (at rank of Captain) and Lieutenant Robert Hooker in front of a white tent at the Volunteer Camp in Pukekura Park. All men are dressed in fancy military uniforms, including decorations, and the two men on the left have swords. Such camps were held regularly in the Recreation Grounds, as Pukekura Park was then known, for members of the Taranaki Rifles and Taranaki Guards during the Boer War.
