Biography
Born in 1911, George Duncan Henderson worked for approximately 45 years with newspapers and journalism. From 1940 to 1960 he was a freelance journalist for the Otago Daily Times and The Evening Star in Dunedin. The following year (1960-1961) he submitted work to the Christchurch Star. Early in 1962 he branched out into cartoons and published his works in a Tauranga newspaper. Later in June of the same year he began supplying the Taranaki Daily News with cartoons. In 1968 he swapped to freelancing for the Christchurch Star once again and finished his journalism career at the Hauraki Herald.
